The company behind MAMORINO
MAMORINO is built by Kanameishi, a seismic-reinforcement contractor based in Tokyo, together with its group technology company, evoltz.
"Give life again to a house that once had no choice but to be torn down."
That's the belief Kanameishi was built on: an existing wood-frame home doesn't have to be demolished to be made safe. Reinforcement is the alternative.
Traditional craft, current technology, one ecosystem
Kanameishi's stated vision is to fuse traditional carpentry with the latest engineering, building a new ecosystem around existing homes rather than around new construction.
What that looks like in practice
Honor the memories
Stay close to what a home means to the people living in it, and protect that along with the structure.
Reward the craft
Pay skilled carpenters fairly, and carry their technique forward into the next generation.
Break convention
Use better systems — not just more effort — to challenge how the industry has always done things.
Win together
Honor commitments to clients and partners, and treat the outcome as shared.
Tomohiro Kamimura, Representative Director
A licensed architect from a family of generations of shrine and temple carpenters, Kamimura founded Kanameishi after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake — asking himself whether the homes lost that day really had no way to be saved. That question is the company's starting point.
Seismic reinforcement work has historically gotten more expensive as it's scaled up. Kamimura's approach is to bring the cost down through better systems and applied AI, while making sure the skilled carpenters doing the work are paid what the work is worth.

Our group technology company
evoltz is part of the Kanameishi group — the seismic-damping specialist whose devices go into every MAMORINO reinforcement. They've worked on nothing else since 2008: automotive shock-absorber engineering, manufactured by BILSTEIN, adapted for wood-frame homes, with over 150,000 units produced under strict quality control.
Kanameishi handles the diagnosis, the plan and the construction; evoltz's technology and track record are what the reinforcement plan is built around.
Working with wood, not against it
Wood-frame construction is the standard across the markets we work in, and the technique goes back generations. Reinforcement doesn't replace that tradition — it brings the structural performance of an existing wood-frame home up to what today's standards expect, without rebuilding it.
Who we are, on the record
Every seismic diagnosis is carried out under a licensed architect. In Japan, Kanameishi belongs to the NPO Japan Wood-Frame Seismic Reinforcement Contractors Cooperative and the Performance-Improving Renovation Association. Region-specific certifications for international projects will be added here as MAMORINO expands into new markets.
